The vacant land at Douglas Road and Main Street to Edison Lakes Blvd marks a significant development opportunity. Saxon Partners from Hingham, MA is master planning The Village in collaboration with local firm Abonmarche. Coldwell Banker Commercial Mishawaka is handling marketing. The development includes 368 high-quality living units, 190,000 sq.ft. of dining, retail, workspace, and medical fitness facilities, a 3-level parking garage with 480 spaces, and over 5 acres of open space for public use and events.
The Village will drive economic growth for Mishawaka, St. Joseph County, and Indiana, with over $200 million in private investment, $100 million economic benefit, and 1,200 new permanent jobs. Planning is being finalized now and selective marketing is taking place to identify users and developers who wish to participate in this collaborative effort. Infrastructure work is expected to begin early next year with pad-ready development sites delivered towards the end of 2025.
